Heaven’s Above

Hi everyone. Hope that you are keeping well and safe. When we go outside or look out of the window, or those who are able to use a telescope, we can see all sorts of things, including the Heaven’s.

Ever since i was a a small child i would look out the window and ask questions, like, ‘what is that, look up in the sky….is it a bird, is it a plane, no it’s superman’ or ‘gosh look how the stars are twinkling brightly in the night sky-fabulous’ or ‘what’s that big fire in the sky called the sun’

I was awestruck and fascinated by creation. Who hasn’t heard of Sir David Attenborough!

I even went on to study Applied Biology at Southbank Polytechnic in London. Even now many years later i’m still fascinated by creation.

Are we not all created by Heaven’s Above Creator! 

Where is Heaven?

Up there somewhere, or in another dimension, another realm, is it even on Earth’ s astral plane, in the skies above, in the expanse of planet earth. Maybe Heaven is 10 zillion light years away….fascinating! Reminds me of ‘Toy Story’ when buzz lightyear says, “to infinity and beyond.” 

The first Heaven is the Earth’s Atmosphere, that is the sky to the Earth’s crust. The second Heaven is Outer Space, that is where the stars shine brightly. The third Heaven is God’s throne, where ever that is!

Who remembers this dialogue from the film ‘Annihilation'(2018)

Lomax: Can you describe it’s form?

Lena: No.

Lomax: Was it carbon based?

Lomax:  What did it want?

Lena: I don’t think it wanted anything.

Lomax: But it attacked you.

Lena: It mirrored me. I attacked it. I’m not even sure if it knew i was there.

Lomax: It came here for a reason. It mutated our environment, it was destroying everything.

Lena: It wasn’t destroying. It was changing everything. It was making something new.

Lomax: Making what?

Lena: …I don’t know.

So when people say Heaven’s Above, what are they really saying then? Are they surprised, frustrated or even angry.

In the book of Revelation 21:1 it reads… Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth has passed away… 

Now there’s food for thought!

Anyway, here’s a wise saying by a prophet, but what was the name of the prophet who said this:- ”Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever”

Who has been there?

Maybe you have heard of these biblical names Abraham, Moses, Rahab, Samson. Human beings just like us all, even though from another generation in the past. 

Now if they were to fill in a CV of their academic achievements it would probably look like this:-

Abraham – A liar and was afraid

Moses – A murderer and slow to speak

Rahab – A disadvantaged woman and a prostitute 

Samson – well he had so many issues, who knows where to start with him.

Welcome to the human race!

Miraculously their names are all written in the book of life, written in the hall of faith.

So how did they get to heaven? By plane of course….not

What Mode of Transport?

Land, water and air are the three basic types of transport modes. We need transportation to move. We are always moving from our first baby steps right up to our last breath. Even when our body is dead, someone is still moving our body to the grave. We all are destined for that! Even King Solomon(old testament bible) said in the book of Ecclesiastes 9:2  

All share a common destiny-the righteous and the wicked, the good and the bad, the clean and the unclean, those who offer sacrifices and those that do not. 

As it is with the good man, 

so with the sinner;

as it is with those who take oaths,

so with those who are afraid 

to take them.

So the question is, where does our soul go, is there life after death, how do we even get there. Ahh…..that’s where God’s Angel’s take over!

What a mind bender! Our body’s carry our souls…..so who is carrying our souls in the next dimension? 

Spiritual to physical, invisible to visible, 

God created all.

Emptiness to fullness, when there was darkness, 

God in awesomeness!!!

How Does One Arrive?

Thinking about the advancement of humanity, from the Tower of Babel, to man walking on the moon, to the coronavirus pandemic, man still cannot reach the highest Heaven. 

In my opinion i don’t think God will ever allow man to accomplish that!

Even Paul the Apostle said in 1 Corinthians 2…

No, we speak of God’s secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. However as it is written:

” No eye has seen,

no ear has heard,

no mind conceived

what God has prepared for those who love Him”-

but God has revealed it to us by His Spirit.

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him? In the same way no-one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual man makes judgements about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man’s judgement:

“For who has known the mind of the Lord

that he may instruct Him?”

But we have the mind of Christ.

Fascinating! Did Paul the Apostle have an out-of-the-body-experience and get caught up to the third heaven. Who knows…..well Paul the Apostle does and of course so does God Almighty!

What a Home

Always God we are searching, needing

In our hearts love keeps growing

Every life, God determines 

Every step with perfect timing

Do you know what a day may bring

God works for the good in everything

Knowing God has predestined 

His children for eternal saving.
